COLOBOMA
Congenital defect consisting of the presence of a fissure or lack of a portion of the eyelids.
NEONATAL OPHTHALMIA
. Infection inside the eyelids before they open after birth, is more common in newborn kittens. It is a consequence of herpes virus infection of the mother when leaving through the birth canal.
ANQUILOBLEPHARON.
It is a condition that is due to the congenital union of the upper and lower eyelids; It is normal in the first 15 days after birth, however, when they remain closed it is due to internal bacterial infection, which indicates that the condition exists and the need for medical attention.
BLEPHARITIS.
It is defined as the inflammation of the eyelids. The eyelids are an important structure attached to the eyes, responsible for protecting, cleaning and lubricating them; however, they are frequently susceptible to diseases that can contaminate and damage them, such as: sarcoptic or demodectic mange infection, fungi, bacteria, nutritional deficiencies, allergies, immunological diseases or systemic infectious diseases.
NEOPLASIAS (TUMORS)
Adenomas, adenocarcinomas, papilloma, melanoma, mastocytoma, histiocytoma, etc.
MEIBOMITIS
Inflammation of the meibomian glands, located in the eyelids, whose function is to produce the oily layer of the tear.
ENTROPION
Winding of one or more of the eyelids inward, causing corneal injury due to friction with the hair; It is common in dogs with a short snout or other predisposed breeds.
ENTROPION 
Folding the eyelids outward that does not allow them to perform their function of sliding on the cornea due to lack of contact, preventing cleaning and lubricating; eventually causes problems due to dryness and lack of protection. It requires corrective surgery.
DIAMOND EYE
It is the combination of both in the same eyelid, entropion and ectropion; some parts folded outwards and others inwards, it is common in large breeds such as Mastiff, St. Bernard, etc. It requires corrective surgery.
